The TV animation "lain" was a big hit when it was broadcast in 1998 and still enjoys a strong following among fans today. The official scenario book (first published in 1998), which is currently difficult to obtain, is now available in a new size and binding (new edition) in response to numerous requests for a reprint. The detailed "footnotes" by Mr. Konaka himself are a must-read. In addition, a special staff discussion entitled "12 Years of Rain" by Chiaki Konaka, Yoshitoshi Abe, and Koyuki Ueda is newly included at the end of the book!
